Role of H.E.C
The attitude of HEC is highly prejudiced. Double standards have been adopted by H.E.C on plagiarism cases specially in University of the Punjab, Lahore where high ranked H.E.C oficials specially Executive Director Dr. Sohail H. Naqvi and former chairman H.E.C Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman are actively pursuing some fabricated cases against some Professors and lecturers in connivance with the current ruling authorities of the University of the Punjab. An inquiry committee in Islamabad has ample proofs that Dr Atta-ur-Rehman awarded favors to people including his
friends to attend so called scientific conferences who were illiterate.
It is also be noticed that plagiarism policy given by the H.E.C is itself a clear case of “Verbatim Plagiarism” as it is downloaded from different websites and issued as its plagiarism policy.
H.E.C has failed to achieve its objectives in spite of lavishly spending billion of rupees due to its inefficient planning. A high level inquiry in to the affairs of the H.E.C is a need of a day.
